Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Journeyperson or Apprentice Carpenter to join our team.

Journeyperson Candidates
Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our construction projects. As a Project Manager/Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work, leading projects, and mentoring apprentices. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation and execution of our high-standard projects.

Red Seal or Level 4 Carpenter Certification or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry.
Perform advanced carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, and custom woodworking.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Lead a team of carpenters and apprentices, providing guidance and training as needed.
Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
Coordinate with project managers, other trades, and clients to ensure project timelines are met.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.

Apprentice Carpenter Candidates

Valid class 5 drivers license
Class 3 drivers license considered an asset
Experience in residential construction practises including, concrete forming, wood framing, installing windows and doors, insulation and vapor barrier, interior and exterior finishes, roof coverings
Experience working with wood materials, marking, measuring and cutting precisesly
Must be comfortable working at heights
Fall arrest and elevated work platform certifcate considered an asset
Level 1-4 apprentice qualifications in any accredited issuing province conisdered an asset
Self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast paced environment;
Demonstrated a history of safe carpentry related practices.
Physical fit and able to lift 50 lbs if needed

The Ideal Candidate

Demonstrates exceptional carpentry skills with a strong attention to detail.
Has leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and train apprentices.
Is proactive, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and able to lift upwards of 50lbs.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Has a truck to pull a trailer.
Comes with tools.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proven track record of managing and completing carpentry projects to a high standard.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate your team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour
