Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing fresh deli items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and upselling within a fast-paced retail setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and maintaining product freshness
Manage customer orders efficiently while providing exceptional customer service
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area according to food safety guidelines
Restock shelves, organize display cases, and ensure product presentation is appealing
Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Follow all food handling procedures to ensure proper hygiene and safety standards are met
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Must have Food Safe 1
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
Experience in food handling, serving, or kitchen work is advantageous
Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance sales opportunities
