As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team.

Job Description:

As an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk at Standard Insulation and Siding, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial operations. You will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy will contribute to the efficient operation of our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements.
Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding payments and overdue accounts.
Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, bank accounts, and credit card transactions.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
Maintain organized financial records and filing systems in accordance with company policies.
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding account inquiries and payment issues.
Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage financial transactions and reporting.
Assist with payroll-related administrative duties as required.
Support budgeting, reporting, and other accounting functions as assigned.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and financial controls.
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance is considered an asset.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeping, or Accounting Clerk role.
Experience managing the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience using QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial record-keeping.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
Must be fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
