Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent food service and ensuring customers enjoy fresh, delicious sandwiches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong customer service skills, and experience working in a fast-paced food industry environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a dynamic restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy hours
Handle cashier duties, including processing payments accurately and upselling menu items when appropriate
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and serving areas, adhering to sanitation protocols
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers courteously and efficiently
Follow all food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met

Skills

Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment preferred
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
Cashiering experience and cash handling accuracy
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
Basic math skills for accurate order totaling and change calculation
Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
Ability to upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
