Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for authentic Indian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional service in a vibrant restaurant environment. Candidates with restaurant management experience and a background in the food industry are highly encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to showcase culinary expertise while leading a dedicated team in delivering memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to maintain efficient operations
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
Lead food service operations during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that highlight traditional Indian flavors
Monitor customer feedback and address any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably within Indian cuisine or similar food industry environments
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling with a focus on authentic Indian dishes
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage team members effectively
Experience in restaurant management, including overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards of service
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Prior experience serving customers in a hospitality setting is advantageous
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is preferred
