Brand Ambassador – Beverage Alcohol
Location: Lethbridge, Alberta | Part-Time / Casual | Fridays & Saturdays
Topikos Spirits & Beverage Co. is looking for an outgoing, reliable, and energetic Brand Ambassador to represent our portfolio of premium wine and spirits brands at retail locations throughout Lethbridge.
This is more than simply pouring samples. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, can confidently tell a brand story, and takes pride in creating a professional and memorable experience for customers and our retail partners.
No previous beverage alcohol experience is required if you have the right personality, professionalism, and willingness to learn. Full brand and product training will be provided by the Topikos Sales Team.
Qualifications
- Must have valid AGLC ProServe certification
- Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- Must reside in Lethbridge, AB
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Outgoing, approachable, confident, and comfortable starting conversations with customers
- Passionate about—or interested in learning about—the beverage alcohol industry
- Able to learn key product information and communicate it naturally and professionally
- Reliable, organized, punctual, and able to work independently
- Professional appearance and communication
- Comfortable working with store managers and retail staff
- Able to track sampling results and complete a simple event scorecard
- Comfortable with occasional light merchandising and in-store execution
- Must be available Fridays and Saturdays, generally between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, for at least three weekends per month
What You'll Do
As a Brand Ambassador, you will represent our brands directly with consumers and retail partners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Arriving at the assigned store at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event for professional setup
- Conducting 4 hours of consumer sampling, plus setup and wrap-up time
- Reviewing provided educational materials before each event so you can confidently speak about the featured brand
- Proactively engaging customers, introducing the product, answering basic questions, and communicating key brand stories and product features
- Creating a welcoming experience without being overly aggressive—understanding and respecting the dynamics of each store and its customers
- Remaining actively engaged throughout the event and avoiding unnecessary personal cell-phone use while working
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional sampling station
- Building positive relationships with store managers and staff
- Tracking consumer engagement, samples, and results using the provided scorecard
- Providing basic feedback after events to help our sales team understand customer response and opportunities
- Occasionally assisting with casual merchandising, including building or maintaining displays, checking product placement, and applying approved on-pack or value-added offers
Sampling events are primarily scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, although occasional Thursday, evening, or special-event opportunities may also be available.
Training
You will receive product and brand training from the Topikos Sales Team, including:
- Brand stories and key selling points
- Product knowledge and tasting notes
- How to professionally approach and engage customers
- Sampling expectations and best practices
- Scorecard and reporting requirements
- Retail execution and merchandising basics
We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and can ultimately embody the personality of the brands they represent.
Compensation
$110 per standard 4.5-hour shift, including approximately 4 hours of sampling plus setup and wrap-up.
For example:
Friday sampling shift: $110
Saturday sampling shift: $110
Guaranteed compensation for two standard shifts: $220
Performance Bonus
There is also the potential to earn an additional $25 performance bonus based on strong overall execution, including:
- High scorecard results and customer engagement
- Professional and complete execution
- Positive feedback from the store/store manager
- Meeting or exceeding the sampling and execution targets established by the Topikos Sales Team
Additional paid merchandising and special-event shifts may also become available.
