Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in various payroll and accounting software, along with strong data entry and analysis skills. The Payroll Clerk will play a vital part in maintaining accurate employee compensation records and supporting human resources functions.

Duties

Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll using Winledge and Quorum software
Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits
Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management review
Maintain and update employee records
Assist with accounts payable and receivable related to payroll transactions
Perform account reconciliation to verify accuracy of payroll data
Support human resources functions related to employee compensation and benefits administration
Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations
Assist in audits and prepare documentation as needed for payroll processing
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper bookkeeping and recordkeeping

Experience

Proven experience working with payroll systems
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Experience with data entry, account reconciliation, bookkeeping, and analysis skills
Familiarity with human resources processes related to payroll and benefits administration
Prior experience in accounts payable and receivable is preferred
Prior experience in automotive dealership is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in all payroll-related tasks
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 75 per week
