Full job description

Foremost has an immediate opening for a CNC Equipment Operator -Plate Roll Operator located at our north facility in Lloydminster, AB. The CNC Equipment Operator - Plate Roll Operator is responsible for forming materials, supporting metal working operations, and contributing to the safe and efficient flow of work within the shop.

Responsibilities

Form materials by rolling shells of various thicknesses and diameters ranging from 24 in. to 144 in., flanging heads, and performing related plate rolling duties.
Assist operators within the Metal Working Department as required.
Operate overhead cranes safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Follow current standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
Report discrepancies, equipment concerns, or other issues to the immediate supervisor.
Support general shop activities that improve workflow and department efficiency.
Perform other duties related to the classification, as assigned.
This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and productivity.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating CNC plasma tables, brakes, and steel plate rolls is considered an asset; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Working knowledge of safe lifting practices.
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Safety training is considered an asset; training will be provided as required.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a shop environment and may involve exposure to noise, dust, odours, fumes, and oils. Shift work may be required from time to time.
