Job Summary:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Shipping Control Technician will be responsible for operating the day-to-day shipping activities . This will entail learning the whole shipping process and being expected to perform a variety of tasks, ranging from the preparation of the physical shipment to the administrative components involved.

Schedule: Day Shift, 4-10 hours shifts per week
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Role & Responsibilities:
Process SO orders entered in by sales per the shipping schedule
Confirm and update INV in Acuamtica once order has shipped/truck leaves
Send ARF’s to the Provincial Boards for deliveries
Load and Unload trucks using various equipment i.e., forklift, hand carts and power carts
Print all Documents and COA’s for Shipment and Shipping Technicians
Upload all Shipment Documents into Acuamtica and file into the correct cabinet location
Fill out Provincial Quality Control Trackers
Process all returns Credits from Provincial Boards and Internal request
Complete all Cycle Counts as needed for Inventory checks
Liaison with various Departments, Planning, Sale’s team, and Quality Control to complete full shipments
Schedule delivery and pickup of Shipment(s) to various Delivery Company’s
Follow safety policies including safe handling of equipment and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment; maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Improve the overall delivery experience for our customers
Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met (Acumatica)
Continuously collaborate with production, planning and secured storage to improve delivery experience and solve issues
Develop and implement training programs for new and existing employees. Provide ongoing mentoring to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma with some post-secondary education an asset.
Minimum of 1 year in warehousing or logistics experience required; 3-6 months in shipping/ receiving role an asset.
Computer and ERP skills; preferably Acumatica.
Time management skills: ability to autonomously manage personal day to day activities.
