The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead and elevate our food safety and quality programs. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and our own high internal standards.
You’ll take ownership of our food safety systems, work closely with production, and continue to build a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and maintain the company’s HACCP plan and food safety programs
- Ensure compliance with SFCA, FSMA and SQF food safety standards
- Oversee quality assurance processes across raw materials, production, and finished goods
- Manage internal audits and coordinate external audits and inspections
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
- Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs and quality standards
- Train and coach staff on food safety, sanitation, and quality best practices
- Partner with production and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain documentation and ensure traceability systems are robust and audit-ready
- Monitor KPIs related to quality, food safety, and customer complaints
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in food safety/quality within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF and Canadian and U.S. food regulations (SFCA and FSMA)
- Experience leading audits (internal and external)
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across teams, especially production
- Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Initiative and the ability to work independently

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
