Veert Landscaping is a premier landscaping contractor with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential projects.

Summary

We are seeking an Estimator/ Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Veert Landscaping. In this role, you will play a vital part in the estimating process for landscaping and construction projects, ensuring accurate pricing and project management. This position is essential for maintaining our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Landscape Estimator / Project Coordinator

Location: In-office (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm)
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Compensation: $22–$28/hour (based on experience)

Stable hours, with opportunity for overtime in peak seasons
Supportive team environment

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assist with Landscape project estimates using Microsoft Excel
Review and interpret project specifications
Read, measure and interpret landscape blueprints (or demonstrate strong ability to learn)
Respond to client and vendor emails in a professional and timely manner
Answer and direct phone calls
Coordinate project documentation and office administration tasks
Assist in Landscape project orders, and coordinate staff, supplies, and equipment as needed
Support project planning and scheduling as needed

Qualifications

1+ year of experience in landscaping or construction (preferred)
1+ year of experience in project coordinating or estimating
1+ year of office or administrative experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
Experience with Adobe software considered an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience with Bluebeam Revu considered an asset

Requirements

Legally entitled to work in Canada
Reliable transportation (office is not accessible by regular public transit)
Comfortable working in an in-office environment
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent negotiation skills to work effectively with vendors and clients.
Blueprint reading.
Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam is preferred but can be trained.
Knowledge of growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental use and other purposes.
Familiar with basic accounting and spreadsheets.
To liaison with bookkeeper to provide information for billing and expenses.
Reconciliation of projects to show profitability.
