Bag Stacker
Prairie Flour Mills Ltd. is a Manitoba-based flour milling company located in Elie, Manitoba. We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious individual to join our production team as a Bag Stacker. This position plays an important role in ensuring finished products are handled safely, efficiently, and prepared for shipment while maintaining our high standards for food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove filled flour bags from the conveyor system.
- Stack bags onto pallets according to company standards to ensure safe and stable loads.
- Inspect bags for proper weight, proper sealing, and overall product quality before palletizing.
- Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for storage or shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general production and warehouse duties as required.
- Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, and maintenance personnel to support efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely and repeatedly lift and stack bags weighing up to 25 kg.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive physical work throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, food processing, or a related industry is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification or experience is an asset. Training opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
