Job Description
To provide quality patient care to postpartum women and new-born patients and to support the breastfeeding experience.
Qualifications
-
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
-
Current BCLS certification required at time of hire
-
Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience as an IBCLC required
-
3-5 years’ experience in a clinical setting providing direct patient care for breastfeeding preferred
-
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred

Preferred candidates will demonstrate ongoing professional development through recognized courses in Maternal and/or Newborn Nursing (e.g., Perinatal Nursing, Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS], etc.)

Demonstrated ability to work with families

Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize

Good team player

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position

Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
Additional Information
Hours: Monday to Friday - Days; 0800-1600 (hours subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $42.72 to $59.33 per hour
