Full job description

Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Seeking a organized, and dependable individual to join our office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is looking to develop valuable administrative skills in a professional office environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Receive clients and assist them upon arrival for appointments.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
Print, copy, scan, and organize documents.
Receive payments from clients and issue receipts.
Provide limited administrative support as required.

Hours of Work

Full-time Monday to Friday
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Position

Full-time but of indeterminate duration and subject to a successful 60 day probationary period.

Compensation

Starting salary: $575 per week.
Your salary will be reviewed after 60 days, with the opportunity for an increase as you become established in the position and assume additional responsibilities.

Confidentiality

As this position involves access to confidential client information, the successful applicant will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

While previous legal experience is not required, the successful applicant should possess:

A friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and email.
Comfortable using office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, and multi-function printers.
Good spelling, grammar, and typing skills.
The ability to learn new computer software and office procedures.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
A reliable work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft Excel is an asset.
Experience working with the public or in a customer service role is an asset.
Experience handling cash and processing payments is an asset.

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
