About Beacon Children's Centre
Beacon Children's Centre is a new multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic serving children and families across the Mississauga, Oakville and Brampton corridor. We provide Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services in an integrated, family-centred model under the oversight of regulated professionals.
We are building a team of skilled, compassionate Behaviour Therapists - Supervised who want to grow professionally within a well-supervised, collaborative environment. As we prepare to open in August 2026, we are recruiting talented BTs who are excited to be part of something new and make a real difference in children's lives from day one.
Role Overview
Reporting to the clinic's Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA, Ont.), the Behaviour Therapist — Supervised delivers one-on-one ABA intervention to children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities. Sessions are conducted in our clinic and in clients' homes across the Oakville/Mississauga corridor, within a structured, data-driven programming model.
All services are delivered under the ongoing clinical supervision of our RBA in accordance with the Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis Act, 2021 (Ontario) and CPBAO standards. This role offers meaningful direct client contact and structured professional mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA programs as designed and directed by the supervising RBA, using evidence-based strategies including DTT, NET, PRT, and task analysis.
- Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy sessions in clinic and in-home settings across the Oakville/Mississauga corridor.
- Collect precise session data and maintain accurate daily session notes in accordance with CPBAO documentation standards and clinic protocols.
- Prepare therapy materials, visual supports, and program stimuli prior to each session.
- Implement behaviour support plans (BSPs) and skill acquisition programs as written; report any deviations or concerns to the supervising RBA promptly.
- Participate actively in weekly RBA supervision meetings, team case reviews, and professional development training.
- Collaborate professionally with caregivers, providing coaching and home program support as directed by the RBA.
- Participate in inter-professional communication with OT and SLP colleagues as required for coordinated client care.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with PHIPA and all Beacon privacy policies.

Qualifications
Required
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field: diploma or degree in Behavioural Science Technology, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 months of direct experience delivering ABA therapy to children with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in structured teaching methods (DTT), naturalistic teaching strategies (NET), and data collection.
- Strong interpersonal skills with children, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to work independently in an in-home setting while maintaining fidelity to clinical programs.
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (required for in-home service delivery).
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- Vulnerable Sector Check clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Assets
- Experience with ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, or other ABA-based assessment tools.
- Familiarity with AAC systems and their use within ABA programming.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting (clinic + home combination).
- Proficiency with practice management or data collection platforms (e.g., CentralReach, Jane App).

Regulatory Note: All ABA services at Beacon Children's Centre are delivered under the mandatory supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA, Ont.) in accordance with the Psychology and Applied Behaviour Analysis Act, 2021 (Ontario) and the standards of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). Behaviour Therapists deliver direct therapy within this supervision framework. This posting is for a supervised practice role; independent ABA practice is not permitted at this level under Ontario legislation.
