Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Lubricate, clean, and inspect machinery components.
4. Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair malfunctions or defects in machinery. Identify the root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
5. Quality Control:
Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that plastic clamshells meet quality standards. Make adjustments to machines to address quality issues and maintain consistency in production. Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments.
6. Safety Compliance:
Ensure that machines and production processes comply with safety regulations. Identify and address potential safety hazards associated with machinery.
- Prepare and set up plastic processing machines such as thermoforming molding machines. This involves configuring the machines according to the specifications of the particular packaging product to be manufactured.
- Install and set up molds or dies used in the plastic molding process. This includes ensuring that the molds are clean, properly aligned, and securely fastened to the machine.
- Manage the loading of raw plastic materials into the machines. This includes selecting the appropriate width and gauge ensuring that there is a continuous supply of materials during the production run.
- Adjust machine settings, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to achieve the desired quality and characteristics of the plastic packaging.
- Conduct initial quality checks to verify that the produced plastic packaging meets the specified standards and tolerances. This may involve using measuring instruments and visual inspections.
- Address any issues or malfunctions that may occur during the setup or production process. Diagnose and fix problems to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Keep detailed records of machine settings, adjustments made, and any issues encountered during setup. This documentation is important for maintaining consistency in production and for future reference.
- Actively contributes to a positive food safety culture by taking personal accountability to identify and report any food safety hazards or deviation
