We are currently looking for a Dedicated Shipment Coordinator to join Radiant and be part of our dynamic team. This posting is for an existing vacant position within the organization
HYBRID WORK MODEL: Work in the office at 1280 Courtneypark Drive E, Mississauga every Monday Wednesday and Thursday. Work from home Tuesday and Fridays.
What You’ll Do:
- Call, email or check carrier websites or freight tracking solution website to track and trace loads from pick up to delivery according to customer needs and to minimize any service failures. Update the transportation system as required and update the Operations team on any issues.
- Proactively communicate future pick-up and delivery dates and times with carriers.
- Ensure load tracking notes in the transportation system reflect detailed information on load status, i.e., exact whereabouts, problems, resolutions, etc.
- Advise the Operations team on any load issues so they can update the customer accordingly.
- Maintain regular contact with carriers for hot loads to ensure loads are delivered. Monitor for any issues and update Operations team.
- Obtain supporting documentation from carriers as requested by the Operations team.
- Generate NCSR’s as required and identify the root causes.
- Update the night tracing log and ensure each load has a carrier reference number.
- Run and send RAD (requested arrival date) reports to customers as requested.
- Other duties and assignments as required.
What You Bring to the Role:
- College diploma / University degree in Business, Logistics or International Trade.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service.
- Experience in Transportation / Logistics industry is a preferred.
- Good knowledge of North American geography.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e., Outlook, Word.
- Intermediate computer skills required in Excel i.e. filter, sort.
- Working knowledge of transportation management software (TEDS, PC Miler, etc.) or freight tracking solution website is an asset.
- Dedicated commitment to providing superior internal and external customer service.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Analytical, accurate and detail oriented.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a time sensitive environment.
