Apprentice Overhead Door TechnicianAbout Us

Gagnon Overhead Door Limited is a trusted provider of residential, commercial, and custom overhead door solutions. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, strong safety standards, and excellent customer service.

We are currently looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in building a long-term career in the trade.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors and operators
Support senior technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and service calls
Learn repairs involving springs, cables, tracks, rollers, and motors
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
Follow company safety procedures and work professionally with customers
Perform physical work including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working at heights

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Good communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Physically fit and capable of manual labor

Requirements

Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Basic computer/mobile device skills
Experience in construction or mechanical trades is an asset, but not required
Fall Arrest, Scissor Lift, and WHMIS certifications are an asset (training available for the right candidate)
