Position Overview
Apex Industries is currently recruiting a Machine Operator to join our Steel Door Manufacturing Group for the weekend shift. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Production Supervisor. The primary role of this position is to set up and operate CNC punch, press brakes and shears as well as other responsibilities relating to the production schedule.

Responsibilities

Setup and operate machines (CNC Punch/Laser Machine)
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Gathering, sheering and tagging required materials
Loading and unloading steel sheets
Recognize and communicate areas to improve, to the lead-hand
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Understand and effectively carry out oral and written instruction
Ability to read manual and digital measuring tools (tape measure, caliper)

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, technical school training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with Laser machine or CNC punch is required.
Ability to read and interpret technical information (blueprints, specs, drawings)
Demonstrate ability to function in a team-based work environment
Ability to learn new technics quickly and apply it to the job
Demonstrate strong communication skills
Self-motivated with the willingness to stick to tasks that may be repetitive in nature
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
