Finance & IT Manager | Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, BC, Canada
About the Role
Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is seeking a Finance & IT Manager to oversee the financial and IT systems that underpin our reputation for luxe accommodation paired with exceptional Canadian and Pacific Northwest food and wine. This is a hands-on role covering day to day finance, payroll, procurement and IT across all lodge departments, with close collaboration between the Lodge and the Beckons Finance team.This is a residential role based at Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge, with accommodation and meals provided.You will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting the General Manager and HOD team, and ensuring reliable IT infrastructure across the property, all while contributing to a small, close-knit lodge community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing finance, payroll, procurement and IT systems across all lodge departments
- Reviewing financial data and monitoring revenue and expenses to meet budgeted targets
- Ensuring end of month procedures are completed and submitted to head office on time
- Managing procurement, CAPEX and OPEX processes alongside the General Manager
- Performing fortnightly payroll checks and maintaining WorkSafeBC compliance and reporting
- Managing supplier invoices, purchase orders and monthly credit card reconciliations
- Providing hands-on IT support and troubleshooting across business, guest and staff networks
- Maintaining accurate records of licenses, permits, insurance and FF&E registries
- Implementing and maintaining the Beckons Integrity Management System (BIMS)
About You
You are a passionate and experienced finance and IT professional who thrives in a remote, premium hospitality environment and enjoys the variety of a hands-on, all-encompassing role.You will ideally have:
- Extensive experience in finance and IT systems management within a premium hotel, resort or remote working environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with a proactive and consultative approach to continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with experience in RMS, Payworks and Lightyear highly regarded
- A current unrestricted driver's licence and current First Aid Certificate
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster and support the team across peak periods
- Current Canadian working rights
