Our Admissions Team is one of the most important touchpoints of our brand and community. More than simply processing entry, this role serves as the first impression of the venue and plays a critical part in protecting, cultivating, and reinforcing the culture that our community has come to expect. Successful candidates understand that admissions is not just about customer service—it is about maintaining a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment while upholding the values and standards that define our events.

We are looking for confident, community-minded individuals who can balance hospitality with authority, make sound decisions under pressure, and actively contribute to preserving the culture and atmosphere that make our venue unique.

Outstanding customer service and guest experience abilities
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently with guests, staff, and management
Strong presence with the ability to take control of their workspace and manage guest interactions effectively
Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive when dealing with difficult, abrasive, or confrontational individuals
Strong critical thinking and sound judgment when responding to situations involving harassment, aggressive behavior, intoxication, discrimination, violence, or actions that conflict with venue values and community standards
Confidence to make difficult admission decisions, including denying entry to intoxicated, disruptive, unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable guests
Commitment to protecting and upholding the venue's culture, community, and reputation
Ability to enforce policies and standards consistently while maintaining professionalism and respect
Strong cash handling, counting, balancing, and cashier experience
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling admissions, tickets, and payments
Strong situational awareness and ability to assess risk quickly and effectively
Reliability, accountability, and punctuality
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with security, management, and event staff
Comfortable working late nights, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of Ottawa's nightlife, entertainment, and event scene is a strong asset
Familiarity with electronic music (EDM), rave culture, and PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) principles is a major asset
Previous experience in nightlife, hospitality, admissions, events, customer service, or cash-handling roles is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for guests and represent the brand in a professional and welcoming manner
Process admissions, ticket sales, guest lists, and cover charges accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate cash counts and complete end-of-shift cash reconciliation
Manage admissions lines and guest flow during high-volume events
Make informed decisions regarding guest entry based on safety, intoxication levels, venue policies, and community standards
Address and de-escalate guest concerns while maintaining a positive environment
Work closely with security and management to identify and respond to potential issues
Help foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for all guests
Protect and uphold the culture, values, and community standards that are central to the venue's identity and long-term success
Act as an ambassador for the venue and contribute to the continued growth and strength of its community

This role is ideal for someone who understands that admissions is more than a ticket-taking position—it is a leadership role at the front line of the guest experience, responsible for helping shape the culture, safety, and community of every event.

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
