Overview
Arctic Solutions Inc. is seeking a dedicated and motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in improving energy efficiency in homes across Nova Scotia, working hands-on with heat pumps, thermostats, and other energy-saving technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice looking to build real field experience, develop technical skills, and grow within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Install and replace thermostats, heat pumps, and energy efficiency equipment in residential homes
Assist with electrical installation and maintenance work
Complete required on-site documentation and post-installation reporting
Educate homeowners on the operation and troubleshooting of installed systems
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site at all times
Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily service calls

What We’re Looking For:

Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician (required)
Experience in residential electrical installation and service work
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region
Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism

What Sets You Apart:

Interest or experience in heat pumps and energy efficiency programs
Confidence working directly with homeowners
Positive attitude and ability to represent the company professionally on-site
A safety-first mind-set and approach
Install and replace thermostats, heat pumps, and other energy conservation hardware in residential homes
Complete necessary paperwork at the homeowner’s location and additional data collection paperwork after installations
Provide clients with an educational overview of the installed products
Ensure participants understand how to operate, program, and troubleshoot their new devices
Ensure clients’ homes are clean and tidy before completing each job.

Requirements:

2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician
Experience in residential electrical installation and maintenance
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Driven to provide excellent and professional customer service
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges
Focus on following safety procedures and guidelines to minimize risks of hazards and accidents, including proper handling of tools and equipment
