Position Overview
Pro Electrical HVAC is seeking Certified Electricians with residential and commercial experience and a strong interest in HVAC systems. The successful candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, with a particular focus on HVAC equipment, controls, and related components.
Candidates should be familiar with construction-style worksites and experienced in completing electrical service upgrades, panel replacements and upgrades, and other electrical solutions required to prepare residential and commercial electrical systems for central heat pump installations.
This position is well suited to a dependable, safety-focused, broad based experienced electrician who takes pride in their work, works effectively both independently and as part of a team, and is comfortable travelling to job sites throughout the province.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Complete electrical installations for HVAC equipment, including power supplies, disconnects, controls, wiring, and related components.
- Complete electrical service upgrades, panel replacements and upgrades, and related work required for central heat pump installations.
- Diagnose electrical faults and HVAC-related control issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical documents, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Test completed installations and confirm that systems operate safely and correctly.
- Coordinate effectively with HVAC technicians, apprentices, contractors, customers, and other members of the project team.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice electricians when required.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate job progress, material requirements, and potential issues.
- Keep company tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.
- Deliver professional, respectful, and dependable customer service.
- Travel to residential and commercial job sites throughout Newfoundland and Labrador as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Electrician Certificate of Qualification recognized in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Red Seal endorsement is preferred.
- Minimum two years of relevant electrical experience.
- Experience with residential electrical installations is required; commercial experience is an asset.
- Experience wiring, servicing, or troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls is preferred.
- Experience working on construction-style worksites is preferred.
- Experience completing electrical service upgrades and panel replacements or upgrades is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safe work practices, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver's licence and a reliable means of transportation.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting equipment, using ladders, and working in varied conditions.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, potentially up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting work.

Pay: $26.77-$35.00 per hour
