Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Claims Administrator to join our group benefits team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing group insurance claims efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong clerical skills.

Duties

Review and process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain organized filing systems for claims documentation, both electronically and physically
Answer main phone line & re-direct calls as necessary
Follow up on pending claims and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise
Communicate effectively with insurance companies and clients regarding claim status
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies during claim processing
Assist in preparing reports related to claims activity for management review
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and document management

Skills

Experience or proficiency in health & dental insurance claims an asset, but not required
Clerical experience with strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims efficiently
Excellent filing skills, both digital and paper-based, to ensure easy retrieval of records
Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail to minimize errors in claim processing and documentation
Effective communication skills for liaising with healthcare providers, insurers, and patients
Ability to adapt to new software systems and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

This position is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, organized, and eager to support the claims process within a comprehensive financial planning firm.

Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
