Position Summary: This hybrid role supports the Human Resources Department in managing the recruitment process while also providing legal support to the Corporate Office
Human Resources Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Lead, execute & participate in the full recruitment cycle and create strategies to support staffing needs
- Creating and posting job vacancies
- Screening and interviewing for operational positions
- Complete conditional offers with candidates and sending new hire package
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new Team Members
- Develop relationships & liaison with community partners, participating in job fairs and networking events
- Work closely with department managers to understand current and future departmental staffing requirements and provide reporting on a weekly, monthly basis
Social Media:
- Develop and execute strategies for building Lais Hotel Properties Limited as an Employer of Choice
- Act as a brand ambassador for our Team Members through Social Media
- Create and solicit content for the Company’s Careers Social Media pages, ensuring weekly posts promoting our Team and the Company culture
Training & Development:
- Assists with facilitating Orientation for all new Team Members creating an engaging and positive work experience
- Facilitates Service First Culture training for new and existing Team Members providing Team Members with an interactive, engaging, and motivating training experience
- Provide recruitment training for new Supervisors/Managers outlining recruitment practices, human rights, recruitment processes and required documentation
Additional Responsibilities:
- All other duties as assigned
- Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department
Legal Administration Duties and Responsibilities:
Corporate Focus:
- Annual Corporate Filings and Returns for LHPL and associated entities
- Annual Resolutions
- Administration of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual property billing (US) including review and remittance of payments
- Assist with dispute management as required
Intellectual Property:
- Maintain business name registration and renewals
- Preparation of Release and Waiver of Liability forms and facilitation of compensation where needed
Governance and Licensing:
- Maintain elevator, patio, signage, liquor, special occasion, and sightseeing licensing
Leases:
- Preparation of employee housing and tenant acknowledgements, amendments and renewals
- Commercial tenant insurance tracking
Artwork Inventory:
- Maintain artwork inventory
Additional Responsibilities:
Technical/Managerial/Administrative Requirements:
- Possesses good computer skills
- Experience in computerized payroll and or HRIS system an asset
Professional Requirements:
- College Diploma or University Degree in in Human Resources Management or Legal Administration
