Overview
It's an exciting time to join Score (Canada) Ltd's Edmonton, Alberta team. We are looking for 2 permanent full-time Valve Technicians to support our workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills, while using your valve experience and knowledge within a global company,

If you have experience working on all valves and enjoy working in a fast-paced, safety orientated environment - where knowledge and skills are rewarded - then this is the ultimate opportunity for you!

Reporting to the Workshop Team Lead, this position is an in-town position working a Monday to Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM schedule. There is an expectation to work out of town when required.

Duties

Ability to strip, assess, rebuild, and complete in-depth inspection reports for all types of valves including: Ball, Globe, Choke, Check, Butterfly, Control, Safety & PSVs etc. in both workshop and site based environments.
Ability to strip, assess, and assemble all types of valve operators.
Ability to carry out pressure tests to various specifications.
Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
Work safely & adhere to company safety systems, standards or any other requirements from customers or their sites.
Provide safe working conditions for all workers
Effectively deal with any incidents, unsafe acts or conditions that have been reported, or which are liable to cause or have caused incidents.
Conduct regular inspections for unsafe practices and conditions and ensure prompt corrective action to eliminate causes of incidents.
Work in cooperation with other project supervisory personnel to determine safe practices, enforce their use, develop disciplinary procedures for dealing with violations and develop other general safety and incident prevention measures.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years proven experience in similar role — Essential
Experience working with valves - Essential
Experience in a technical role (ideally within the valve industry)
Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering.
Full drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
Forklift license is an advantage.
No restrictions to working on site.
