ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator with 3 to 4 years of experience operating Mazak equipment to join out machining team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to further develop their career in precision manufacturing and CNC machining. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced machinist and operators to learn CNC lathe setup, operation, quality control, and basic machine maintenance in a safe and productive environment. The successful candidate will also be trained to operate a Trumf 3040 laser cutting table and support laser cutting operations as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate CNC lathes under the guidance of experienced machinist.
· Load and unload materials and finished parts.
· Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
· Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
· Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and production requirements are met.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Follow all company policies and procedures
· Assist with machine setups, tool changes, and routine maintenance activities.
· Record production and quality data accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Completion of a one-year CNC Machinist program from a recognized college or technical institution.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
· Basic math skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
· Reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
· Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience
· Exposure to CNC machining or metalworking
· Knowledge of measuring instruments and blueprint reading.
