Full job description

Overview

Monteferro America seeking an Accounting Clerk to support their finance department with a variety of tasks including data entry, invoicing, payables, payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform data entry for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, processing payments, and tracking outstanding balances.
Collection of receivables
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
Maintain and organize accounting files, ensuring proper documentation for audits and internal controls.
Process expense reports and verify receipts to ensure compliance with company policies.
Prepare and file sales taxes and payroll tax filings.
Payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
Prepare reports/analysis as required
Provide general clerical support for the accounting department
Assist with other accounting tasks and special projects as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
2-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with an ERP System (SAP is an asset)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality.
A reliable vehicle and willingness to commute to East St. Paul facility.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with general ledger and financial reconciliation.
Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance.
Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting automation tools.
