Full job description

Job Summary
We are a family-owned construction company since 1976 specializing in curb and sidewalks in the Ottawa and surrounding area, and we’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Clerk to support our team and manage front desk operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in organization and accuracy this could be an excellent opportunity. Please note that this is a full time in office position with no ability to accommodate work from home and a form of reliable transportation required as there is no bus service here.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry
Construction locates (Call Before You Dig!) experience a strong asset
Manage front desk operations, including answering phones and handling email correspondence
Coordinate and place orders for materials such as concrete, and aggregates
Processing: Sort and distribute incoming mail and electronic communications
Filing: photocopying, scanning, electronic filing and archiving
Accurate data entry, maintain organized records and filing systems.
Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets and internal tracking logs
Support accounts payable functions when necessary

Qualifications & Assets

Previous administrative experience preferred
Construction industry experience is a strong asset
Familiarity with material ordering and job site coordination is an advantage

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Proactive problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic environment
High level of accuracy in data entry and financial processing
Ability to quickly learn new skills

Software Requirements

Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred)
Exaktime and Corfix
