Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

Job Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Store Supervisor to lead our retail store operations, oversee staff, and manage all aspects of marketing for our business. This role is key to ensuring that our showroom, sales team, and marketing efforts align with our brand and drive traffic to the store. The ideal candidate will be both a strong leader and a creative marketer, capable of managing the day-to-day operations of the store while driving the business forward through promotional efforts, content creation, and strategic marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations & Staff Management:
- Oversee Daily Store Operations:
- Ensure the store and showroom are always organised, clean, and properly stocked with landscape products, pool chemicals, and other retail items.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, creating order requests and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Ensure all sales associates are trained on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Manage store schedule, ensuring adequate coverage for sales, customer service, and product management.
- Staff Supervision:
- Supervise, train, and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any issues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure staff maintains a high level of professionalism and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Promote a Positive Client Experience:
- Ensure that all client interactions align with the company’s values and branding.
- Assist in resolving any customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Marketing & Brand Management:
- Brand Promotion & Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive traffic to the store and increase awareness of our products and services.
- Ensure all marketing materials, both in-store and online, align with company branding and messaging.
- Manage and update social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), creating engaging content that promotes the store and highlights seasonal promotions, new products, and projects.
- Content Creation & Digital Marketing:
- Create and schedule regular social media posts, working with the sales team to generate engaging content that showcases our products, services, and company culture.
- Coordinate and manage digital marketing campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram promotions, Marketplace listings) to drive leads and sales.
- In-Store Signage & Promotions:
- Regularly update signage and displays inside and outside the store to reflect current promotions, seasonal products, and new arrivals.
- Organise and execute sales events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns to increase foot traffic and sales.
Event Coordination & Trade Shows:
- Trade Show Management:
- Help organise and set up the company’s presence at industry trade shows and events, ensuring all marketing materials, displays, and signage are aligned with the brand.
- Coordinate logistics for trade show participation, including scheduling staff, ordering promotional materials, and setting up the booth.
- Community Engagement & Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, contractors, and potential clients to drive referrals and repeat business.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with Sales & Design Teams:
- Work closely with the sales, design, and installation teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment between the store and broader company goals.
- Collaborate with the team to gather content for marketing purposes, including customer testimonials, project photos, and seasonal promotions.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in home improvement, landscaping, or related fields.
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Experience with trade shows or event planning is an asset.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and content creation.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping products, swimming pools, and related services is an asset.

Schedule & Compensation:
- Schedule: Full-time, seasonal position (April - November) with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed for store operations and event coordination.
