Job Summary

We're looking for a Sous Chef who wants to help build something — not just work in one.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen management, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards, and supporting the culinary team in creating innovative dishes that delight our guests. This role offers an opportunity to grow within a reputable restaurant environment committed to excellence in hospitality and food service.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food preparation activities
Prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
Support team management by training new staff and maintaining a positive, efficient work environment
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and is delivered in a timely manner
Enforce food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
Serve as a leader during service hours, stepping in to support staff as needed and ensuring smooth operation during busy periods

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Excellent team management and leadership abilities with a focus on fostering collaboration
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Extensive restaurant experience with a solid understanding of hospitality operations
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills for effective coordination with staff and front-of-house teams
Passion for culinary innovation, serving high-quality dishes that meet guest expectations
Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and uphold service excellence

Pay: $18.05-$28.00 per hour
