Our client, an industrial manufacturing facility, is seeking an Industrial Cleaner/ Janitor to join their team. As an Industrial Cleaner/ Janitor, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a safety-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Industrial Cleaner/ Janitor
Location: New Glasgow, NS
Pay Range: $19.05 plus shift premium
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Inspect dust collection units to ensure proper dust flow and perform routine inspections and cleaning tasks during each shift
- Replace collection bags when full and remove, transport, and clean material hoppers
- Dispose of waste materials and scrap products in designated areas, ensuring proper handling and safety
- Transfer materials into collection bags, record weights using a scale, and maintain cleanliness of safety equipment such as eyewash stations
- Clean conveyor belts, mezzanines, handrails, walkways, and other production areas, while monitoring and cleaning oil spills and leaks
