*We are seeking experienced lifeguards* that wish to make a positive impact in the community.

National Lifeguard certification is required (NL Waterfront is preferred).

Schedule: Full-time day camp Monday-Friday from June 26–Sept. 4 for eligible Canada Summer Jobs candidates.

At Rainforest Adventure Camps, we believe in the power of play. We are a community-focused non-profit dedicated to further developing participants’ resilience, empathy, social growth, and independence in a fun and peaceful setting. Further develop your experience leading a team of staff, volunteers, kids, and youth.

Who You Are: You are a "people person" through and through. You’re the one who anticipates the needs of your team and stays patient and kind even when the weather isn't perfect. You are kind, calm, patient, creative, efficient, reliable, dedicated, take initiative, and love to build relationships and community.

- A Natural Leader: You have experience mentoring staff and volunteers. We are looking for a calm, collaborative, patient, and respectful leader.
- Safety-First: You’re a pro at managing groups near water (lakes and pools), and ensuring everyone's safety, wellness, and engagement.
- Community Builder: You thrive on building positive relationships with parents, kids, youth, staff, volunteers, and the community.
- Resourceful: You have a "toolbox" full of games and activities ready to go.

Prerequisites:

- Lifeguard Certification.
- Current Police Information Check & First Aid Certification.
- Canada Summer Jobs requires all candidates hired for summer be under the age of 31 and a Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizen, or Protected Person.

What Your Days Will Look Like:

- Help Lead the Adventure: Collaboratively lead games and activities at beautiful spots like White Pine Beach and Coquitlam River.
- Navigate the Day: Ensure safety around water, and de-escalate challenges with a calm, respectful approach.
- Collaborate with the Camp Coordinator and Camp Director along with Admin, Camp Leaders, and Volunteers.
- Train and mentor staff and volunteers.
- The position will be outdoors, collaboratively leading one of our camps.

Locations: We have camps throughout Metro Vancouver, BC. Please let us know which camps you'd be most interested in joining. A reliable car is recommended.
