Maritime Inn Port Hawkesbury (MIPH)
Front Desk Agent

The Basics:

Respond in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services. Respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.

You won’t be just “filling a position” at MIPH; you’ll have the opportunity to impact the overall performance of the hotel through your drive, positive attitude, and innovative thinking. Our aim is to build an experience that is memorable and unique for guests throughout their entire stay with us.

No matter what position you’re in, there are a few things that are critical to success: creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.

Specific to the Front Desk position, we rely on you to:

Take pride in the product: Give guests a positive first impression of the hotel and amenities
Be in the know: Be involved in the community, aware of events and attractions, and pass relevant info along to guests
Take initiative: Gather customer feedback and generate ideas that improve the guest experience
Tell our story: Help manage social media accounts, assist with brand building and property marketing activities
Strive for improvement: Positively accept and provide job-related feedback, work to exceed guest expectations and individual goals
