Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a genuine love for working with children. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, especially for programs serving diverse populations. The Early Childhood Educator will play a vital role in fostering developmental growth and ensuring a positive learning experience for all students.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Engage children in educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues regarding progress and classroom activities
Assess individual student needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities using computer operation skills
Collaborate with team members to organize classroom routines, events, and special projects
Uphold health and safety standards in compliance with licensing regulations
Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant teachers or volunteers as needed
Manage time efficiently to balance instructional duties with administrative responsibilities

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including classroom experience
Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or bilingual abilities are preferred
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
Ability to utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Writing skills necessary for documentation and parent communication
Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for early childhood development

Pay: $25.61-$31.07 per hour
