Position: Sous Chef
Department: The Seasider Bistro + Wine Bar + Patio
Hours Per Week: Full Time
Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on experience

*Accommodation Available for suitable candidates*

Requirements:

Ambitious, a true foodie at heart!
Experience and understanding of different cooking methods
Well educated in food trends and following current events in the hospitality industry
Create seamless flow of food out of the kitchen through planning and directing food preparation
Maintain zero station downtime through attentive awareness of kitchen tools and equipment
Keep the dollars and cents in check by supporting weekly inventory, labor cost and food cost reporting
Exceptional culinary skills demonstrated by 3 - 5 years experience working in a commercial kitchen (or related experience); previous leadership experience a must

Responsibilities:

Ease in communication, the ability to delegate efficiently and revels in giving and receiving feedback
An innate drive to help others succeed and a generosity in sharing your skills and knowledge with your team
Curiosity and excitement at the prospect of job mobility and opportunity
The ability to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
