Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery & HMR Clerk to join our team in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the quality of our bakery and prepared food sections. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Duties

Assist customers with their selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
Maintain merchandising standards by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product freshness
Keep the bakery and HMR areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of work areas and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
Support inventory management through stock rotation, and monitoring product levels
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or food service is preferred
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
Excellent organizational skills to manage stock and maintain store presentation standards
Capable of performing cleaning duties and routine maintenance tasks efficiently
Cashiering experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety protocols

These departments follow food safety standards which includes no piercings, artificial/painted nails and hairnets must be worn
