Job Overview
We are a growing oilfield trucking company seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Welder to join our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience working on a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment while advancing their welding career.

Duties

Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment under the supervision of experienced welders.
Assist with structural repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance projects.
Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist mechanics and maintenance personnel as required.

Qualifications

Registered Apprentice Welder (any year apprentice considered).
Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
Experience with MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding is considered an asset.
Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or oilfield equipment is an asset but not required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
