DE PLOMBERIE ET CHAUFFAGE

EMPLACEMENT: CENTRE DE FORMATION DE MÉTIERS VERDUN

Cours de jour sur place (en anglais)

La Formation continue de la Commission scolaire Lester-B.-Pearson est à la recherche de candidats qualifiés pour enseigner à temps plein et temps partiel dans le programme de Plomberie et Chauffage au Centre Verdun. Ce programme mène au DEP (diplôme d’études professionnelles) et prépare les élèves à entrer dans le marché du travail.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Être titulaire d'un diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) en Plomberie et Chauffage ou équivalent.

· Avoir au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la plomberie et du chauffage.

· Licence en plomberie ou chauffage (heures de compagnon terminées)

· La détention d'une certification en gaz naturel est un atout.

· Détenir une certification ASP est un atout.

· Avoir de l'expérience dans divers travaux de réparation, d'entretien et d'installation de systèmes de plomberie et de chauffage.

· Travailler bien en équipe et accorde une grande importance au professionnalisme et au respect.

· Excellentes aptitudes en communication et relations interpersonnelles

RESPONSABILITÉS

· Enseigner le programme du ministère en plomberie et chauffage.

· Planifier le contenu du cours, les stratégies et les méthodes d'enseignement les mieux adaptés aux objectifs d'apprentissage des étudiants.

· Favoriser l’apprentissage de l’élève

· Préparer le matériel, les fournitures et l’équipement

· Entrer les présences quotidiennes dans la base de données.

· Observer et évaluer le travail des étudiants.

· Participer à l'organisation et à l'aménagement des espaces de laboratoire.

· Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le conseiller pédagogique et l'administration pour soutenir les étudiants.

· Élaborer et administrer des évaluations tout au long et à la fin de chaque module, évaluer le progress des etudiants et fournir des commentaires.

· Corriger les examens finaux et attribuer les notes

Job Title: Plumbing and Heating Teacher (Part-Time and Full-Time positions available)

The Lester B. Pearson School Board’s Continuing Education department is seeking qualified candidates for part-time and full-time teaching in the Plumbing and Heating Program at VACC. This program leads to the DEP (Diplome d’etudes professionnelles) and prepares students for the job market at entry level.

Qualifications

· Have a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP/DVS) in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.

· Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Plumbing and Heating trade.

· Hold a license in the Plumbing or Heating trade (Journeyman hours completed).

· Holding a certification in natural gas is an asset.

· ASP certification is an asset (Association paritaire pour la santé et la sécurité du travail du secteur de la construction).

· Have experience in various repair, maintenance, and installations of plumbing and heating systems.

· Work well in teams and have a high value for professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities

· Teach the Quebec Ministry program in Plumbing and Heating.

· Develop lesson plans, course content, strategies, and teaching methods best suited for student learning objectives.

· Promote student learning.

· Prepare materials, supplies and equipment.

· Enter daily attendance in database.

· Participate in the organization and development of lab spaces.

· Work closely with the pedagogical consultant and administration in support of the students.

· Develop and administer evaluations throughout and at the end of each module, assess progress and provide feedback.

· Correct and grade final examinations.
