Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day construction activities for a mid-rise multi-residential development. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining site safety and organization, ensuring quality workmanship, and keeping the project on schedule from construction through occupancy and closeout.

The successful candidate will be an experienced construction leader who can confidently manage multiple trades, resolve field issues, coordinate with project stakeholders, and maintain momentum against critical project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all day-to-day site construction activities for a mid-rise multi-residential project.
Plan and coordinate trade sequencing, manpower, material deliveries, site access, and short-term look-ahead schedules.
Lead trade coordination meetings and monitor progress against project milestones.
Identify and resolve field issues promptly to minimize delays and disruptions.
Maintain a safe, organized, professional, and productive jobsite.
Conduct quality-control inspections and manage deficiencies through to resolution.
Ensure construction complies with drawings, specifications, applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and established quality standards.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, occupancy requirements, deficiencies, and project closeout activities.
Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, photographs, manpower records, delivery logs, meeting notes, and inspection records.
Communicate regularly with senior project leadership regarding progress, risks, required decisions, schedule impacts, quality concerns, and cost-sensitive issues.
Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, municipal inspectors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Anticipate potential construction challenges and develop practical solutions to keep the project moving forward.
Promote accountability, communication, and high standards of workmanship across the site.

Qualifications & Experience

8–10+ years of progressive construction site supervision experience, including senior or lead supervisory responsibility.
Experience delivering mid-rise multi-residential, apartment, condominium, institutional, or similarly complex construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, building envelope, interior finishes, MEP coordination, quality control, and project closeout.
Sound understanding of the Ontario Building Code and construction health and safety requirements.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and site drawings.
Proven ability to coordinate and lead multiple trades while maintaining project schedules and quality expectations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to address issues effectively in the field.
Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project management and other stakeholders.
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Gold Seal certification, trade certification, or construction-related education is considered an asset.
