As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and dependable Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and help lead our kitchen operations.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will have strong cooking skills, leadership ability, and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef, help guide the kitchen team, and ensure consistency in food quality, safety, and service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Help supervise, support, and guide kitchen staff during service.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely and consistent manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all kitchen areas.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste reduction.
- Follow and enforce all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, prep planning, and stock rotation.
- Support menu development and special events when required.
- Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience required (lead line cook or supervisory experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with a variety of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Required:
- Food Handler Certification
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience
