At Aegis Medical, we believe in using a comprehensive approach of medication-assisted treatment (including medications such as Suboxone, methadone, or naltrexone) as well as an array of complementary psychosocial tools, including counselling.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with substance use disorders, including medical history and physical examinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate medication management and counseling referrals
- Monitor patient progress through ongoing evaluations and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care, including mental health and social services
- Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery options, and relapse prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes to improve treatment efficacy and program effectiveness
- Stay current with advancements in addiction medicine, including new medications, therapies, and best practices
Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in British Columbia
- Strong background in patient care within addiction or mental health specialties
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to addiction medicine and general healthcare practice
- Experience in data collection and analysis related to clinical outcomes or quality improvement initiatives

Pay: $30,000.00-$400,000.00 per year
