Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Early Morning Kitchen Team Member (Starting at 5:00 AM, Part-Time Minimum 15 Hours/Week with Potential for Full-Time) to join our dynamic food service team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. The Kitchen Team Member will support daily kitchen operations, assist in food preparation, and ensure food safety standards are maintained in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods, including cakes and pastries, with attention to detail in decorating and presentation
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for various menu items
Cook and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
Package baked goods and other food items for sale or delivery, ensuring accuracy and presentation quality
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies
Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with orders when needed
Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of stock shortages

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required
Skills in cake decorating, baking, and food presentation are highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
Basic cooking skills and experience with food preparation tasks
Excellent customer service skills to ensure a welcoming experience for all customers
Kitchen experience involving food packaging, safety protocols, and general cleanliness is advantageous

Hours & Commitment

Minimum of 15 hours per week required, with early morning shifts starting at 5:00 AM. Opportunity for additional hours and potential transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.

Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
