About the Role

St. Johns is known for its welcoming hospitality scene, and at Harbourstone Kitchen and Dining, we bring that same sense of warmth and quality to every guest experience. We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager (m/f/d) who can help lead daily restaurant operations while supporting a motivated front of house team.

You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and staff to maintain smooth service, strong guest satisfaction, and consistent operating standards. This is a hands on mid level position suited to someone who is ready to take on greater responsibility without moving into executive management.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Support the Restaurant Manager with opening, closing, staffing, service coordination, and daily operational activities.

Team Support: Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and performance feedback for restaurant employees.

Guest Experience: Respond professionally to guest questions and concerns while helping maintain high customer service standards.

Service Coordination: Monitor dining room operations and coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure efficient service.

Inventory Support: Assist with monitoring food, beverage, and restaurant supplies and communicate replenishment needs.

Health and Safety: Help maintain food safety, workplace safety, cleanliness, and restaurant operating standards.

Administrative Support: Assist with daily reports, cash handling procedures, staff schedules, and other operational records.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service operations, with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.

Leadership: You can confidently support a team, delegate tasks, resolve day to day issues, and maintain a positive workplace environment.

Customer Service: You have strong communication skills and understand how to create a welcoming and professional guest experience.

Operations: You are comfortable working in a fast paced restaurant environment and managing competing priorities during busy service periods.

Availability: Flexibility to work a combination of daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts when required.

Mindset: You are dependable, practical, organized, and willing to step in wherever needed to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.

Pay: $4,412.00-$6,000.00 per month
