We are currently seeking a permanent full-time MRI technologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

As the MRI Technologist at Elysian Imaging and Diagnostics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on creating a comfortable experience for patients while performing high-quality MRI scans. Your ability to combine technical expertise with a patient-centred approach and leadership abilities will contribute to the high standards of care that Elysian is known for.

Technologist Key Responsibilities:

Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution images that support accurate clinical diagnoses.
Provide clear, compassionate explanations of MRI procedures to address patient concerns and ensure understanding.
Foster a calm and supportive environment to maximize patient comfort throughout the imaging experience.
Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results, resolve quality control issues, and update protocols as needed.
Troubleshoot and maintain MRI systems and associated equipment to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
Ensure strict adherence to patient safety standards, including screening for contraindications and using sterile injection techniques.
Guide and support new technologists through training and mentorship to promote a skilled and cohesive team.
Remain composed and professional during high-pressure situations, prioritizing patient care and effective communication.
Liaise with vendors, clients, and suppliers to maintain strong external partnerships.
Manage inventory and ensure availability of supplies for the MRI department.
Creation/modification of protocols in Siemens scanner as needed.
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

Current CAMRT Certification and completion of an advanced accredited specialty program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer Certification.
Minimum 5 years of recent MRI experience.
Certification in Intravenous Therapy and CPR - Basic Life Support level (BCLS).
Leading and Implementing the Diagnostic Accreditation Process

Asset:

Leadership/management experience.
Familiarity with Siemens MRI scanners.
