Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofer/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic construction skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in carpentry, handyman work, or roofing is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in the construction industry while contributing to quality roofing installations. We also speak Punjabi, if you’re having trouble with English.

Duties

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using various hand tools and equipment
Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal sheets
Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris removal
Follow safety protocols at all times to minimize risk on-site

Requirements

Experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the day
Basic understanding of blueprint reading is advantageous
Strong attention to safety procedures and guidelines
Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Prior experience in roofing or construction is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates

Pay: From $20.00 per week
