Prep Cook / Dishwasher

Join the Kitchen Team at Middle Beach Lodge

Looking for more than just a job? Imagine working in a beautiful open kitchen overlooking the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by an incredible team and the natural beauty of Tofino.

Middle Beach Lodge is looking for a friendly, reliable Prep Cook / Dishwasher to join our Food & Beverage team. This is a hands-on evening role that's perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in keeping things organized, and is always willing to help wherever needed.

Start Date: As soon as possible

What You'll Do

As part of our dinner service team, your responsibilities may include:

Assisting with food preparation for dinner service
Washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout service
Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized
Restocking kitchen supplies and assisting with food storage
Supporting the chefs with general kitchen duties as needed
Following food safety and sanitation standards
Working as part of a team to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, positive, and enjoys working as part of a team
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
Able to work independently and take initiative
Detail-oriented and takes pride in maintaining a clean workspace
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
Serving It Right BC Certification
Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)

Preference will be given to applicants who are available to commit to a 6-month contract.

Starting wage: $18.50 per hour, plus shared tips
