Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead to join our team and drive excellence in various construction and restoration projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead skilled tradespeople, oversee project execution, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship across diverse job sites. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for construction, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Lead, you will be instrumental in coordinating activities, mentoring team members, and maintaining safety standards to deliver outstanding results on every project.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
Lead project planning by interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes
Perform and oversee skilled trades such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding, drywall installation, and tile laying
Operate hand tools, power tools
Hanging and Finishing drywall ready for paint
Conduct heavy lifting
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards across all construction activities
Manage material procurement, inventory control, and quality assurance to meet project specifications
Provide mentorship on technical skills including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, electrical experience, plumbing, electrical wiring, fixture installation, cabinetry setup, door hanging, flooring installation, and remodeling tasks
Coordinate with clients or project managers to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating, site management or leading skilled tradespeople in the restoration or general construction industry
Extensive hands-on experience with carpentry (including trim and woodworking), roofing, siding, drywall finishing (including plastering), tile laying, flooring installation, metal stud framing, and cabinetry installation
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for complex projects
Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools
Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming techniques or plastering is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during all phases of work
Familiarity with the use of scaffolding or other access equipment on construction sites
Excellent communication skills to coordinate teams effectively and ensure project specifications are met
Valid certifications related to construction safety standards (such as OSHA) are preferred but not mandatory
