The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Enterprise Data & Analytics Platforms serves as a critical executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and continuous evolution of the organization's enterprise-wide data and analytics platforms and capabilities. This executive role combines strategic vision with operational leadership to ensure the Enterprise platform delivers measurable business value, drives data-driven decision making across the enterprise, and positions the organization for future innovation.
Reporting to the VP , Enterprise Data Platforms & Capabilities or equivalent executive, the AVP acts as the primary bridge between business strategy, technical capabilities, and end-user needs, ensuring the data and analytics platform remains a strategic asset that enables competitive advantage and operational excellence.
The Role & Mandate is Enterprise servicing all lines of business, segments and teams across TD Bank Group.
A) Platform Capability & Strategic Leadership (Enablement & Adoption at Scale)
Own the enterprise product, business architecture and roadmap strategy for the Rahona data & analytics platform capabilities (e.g., onboarding paths, learning journeys, reference architectures, patterns, playbooks).
Build and run a capability adoption model including community-of-practice, centers of excellence, office hours, and onboarding “concierge” support.
B) Support & Service Management (Operational Excellence)
Accountable for the business operations and support operating model across intakes, requests, including triage, escalation, and problem management.
Lead business planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for the platform, optimizing investment across people, technology, and initiatives
C) Platform & Product Ownership Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement
Define and prioritize platform capabilities, features, and services based on business needs, technical feasibility, and strategic value
Oversee the development and enhancement of platform products and services, ensuring they meet enterprise standards for quality, security, and usability
Establish platform governance frameworks including data quality, security, privacy, and compliance standards
Partner with platform product/engineering to shape roadmap based on adoption friction, support demand, value, business priorities and consumer feedback.
D) End User Advocacy & Enablement
Act as the voice of the end user, ensuring platform capabilities are designed with user experience, accessibility, and adoption as core principles
E) Financial Management / FinOps Partnership
E) Governance, Risk, Controls & Audit Readiness
Maintain documentation and evidence for operational controls, resilience, access processes, and compliance requirements.
Partner with legal, security, and compliance teams to address data privacy, protection, and ethical use concerns
Shared accountability with Platform Engineering, Production Support Services, Infrastructure & Engineering, Security, Governance, and Data Product/Consumer teams for:
Success in this role is demonstrated through:
Adoption & Enablement: time-to-onboard, active user/producer counts, enablement completion rates, usage growth of target capabilities
Service Health: availability, latency/throughput SLO attainment, MTTR, incident volumes, repeat incident rate
Support Efficiency: ticket volume trends, deflection rate via self-service, first-contact resolution, backlog aging
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred
Deep expertise in modern data architectures, cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks ), and analytics technologies
Knowledge of governance, data controls, privacy, and security expectations in regulated environments.
