Full job description

<Job Summary>
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining compliance with financial policies and regulations. Your expertise will support vendor relationships and uphold the integrity of our financial data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a family-owned organization committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

<Duties>

Process and verify all incoming invoices ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Perform account reconciliations for accounts payable and related general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including journal entries, debits & credits, and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing accruals, reconciling vendor statements, and generating reports for management review.
Assist in handling accounts receivable inquiries when necessary and support other accounting functions such as general ledger accounting or governmental accounting as needed.

<Experience>

Proven experience in accounts payable processing within a corporate accounting environment.
Strong knowledge of financial concepts including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
Familiarity with accounting software platforms and Excel spreadsheet proficiency is essential.
Understanding of GAAP standards to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.
Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately at a high volume with proficiency.
Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for account reconciliation and financial review tasks.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting involving multiple deadlines.
